The name conjures up images of people on treadmills hooked up to machines that suck sweat. Yeah, eeew.

But that was before. Now, I'm so addicted to it. I first tried it in Tokyo after seeing people there gulp this stuff as they walked the underground walkways. If you need a quick Pocari Sweat fix, no sweat (har.har.), almost every vendo machine in Tokyo carries it.

I love the simple sweet-salty taste. But aside from the taste, I keep on buying it for the element of nostalgia: This drink reminds me of Tokyo.

Pocari sweat is recommended for people with active lifestyles but, that shouldn't stop a lazy ass such as myself from drinking it.

I just wish they came up with a better name. "Pocari sweat", seesh.

The thing with FB video calls

Like the rest of the social networking citizens of the world, I am amazed at this new partnership between FB and Skype which allows video calls. FB will once again re-invent how we communicate!

But then I ask myself, am I willing to live with the fact that I have to look camera-ready every time I'm online on FB? Now I have to check how I look everytime I log on to FB? Put on lipstick and pat dry the oil depots on my face?

Well, I could just ignore these video calls yes, but what does that say about my netiquette?

Then I realize, I don't have a webcam.
